Dealers of God - Flesh Bill Clinton Humanoid Skeleton

Hotbox the Spaceship

Tossing samples of any significance, producer group Dealers of God craft a conscious-expanding voyage into the deepest crosses of drug-induced euphoria and Experimental Hip-Hop. Cruising across an endless number of seamless beat transitions, an amusing conspiracy unfolds with the symbolism of former U.S. President Bill Clinton and adverse drug effects melting into one pot of smooth Psychedelia.

Although the group borrows from an overwhelming amount of Trip Hop, Rock, and Cloud Rap styles, their 3rd full-length effort maintains its central sound, allowing the record to be their most consistent through and through. However, as is a theme for the group, overly extended progressions and a directionless structure lead many intriguing segments to shift or fade away into obscurity.

While the big picture remains a haze, the Dealers lack nothing in the realm of ideas and production potential. Flesh Bill Clinton Humanoid Skeleton is a strange, but surprisingly well-done collection of cloudy beats; a wandering soundtrack fit for the most chill blunt-smoking aliens the galaxy has to offer.
