Deerhoof - Miracle-Level

Japanese-American Experimental Rock Outfit, Deerhoof Hits Again with Chirpy Math Pop and Strident Indie Rock Formations.
Acute electric guitar rings loudly on top of wispy drums and technical bass. Unusual time signatures generate eccentric compositions of bright noise pop, contrasted by heavy guitar and ominous refrains.

The band's 19th album excels in creating strange riffs, fun keyboard progressions and lighthearted vocals. Falsetto harmonies and mischievous vocal developments give the album an upbeat and almost sarcastic tone. Lead singer, Satomi Matsuzaki impressively follows volatile guitar progressions, singing of the band's appreciation of everyday life.

Not always impressive, some inimical movements and awkward hooks strain the ear after several listens. However, Deerhoof is still successful in their unconventional rhythms and blaring instrumentals amalgamating into a deviceful indie rock ignition.
