Frost Children - SPEED RUN

New York Hyperpop Duo, Frost Children Dances Anxiously with Bubbly Electropop and Spry House Music.
Elastic bass lines, blinding synths and springy drum machines bop along echoing androgenous melodies. Video game samples and other sporadic electronic reverberations institute a lively techno sound, made dramatic with tempo changes and an extensive range of synths and electric guitars.

The duo emphasize house flows with vocal chops and booming Pop choruses. Lyrical topics include uneasy love, partying, progressive sexuality and ego mastery. While not the most in depth or focused project lyrically, the group pulls together a couple moments of alluring wordplay, like snakes acting as a symbol of distrust and corruption on the track, 'SERPENT.'

As its' name suggests, SPEED RUN is a fast paced LP, prioritizing brief electronic productions and expeditious vocals. However, this speed is often responsible for certain progressions becoming obsolete before they're given a chance to shift the overall soundscape. The Pop duo does counteract such speed with a couple of slower, more traditional Pop tracks with 'WONDERLAND,' and 'NOTICE ME' at the end of the project. All of this considered, Frost Children do propel a form of energetic anxiety, even if it means a scarcity in profundity, thus fashioning a sound Hyperpop exhibition.
