The 8th Studio Album from Progressive Metal Band, Haken is a Smooth, yet Djent Mix of Strong Hooks and Animal Kingdom Metaphors
Heavy stop-and-start guitar progressions and crashing drum patterns bolster soaring choruses. Flush vocals speak of creative struggle, current events and other more abstract aspects of humanity, all tied within stories of different animals. Solid progressions, interesting tertiary effects and a powerful vocal performance make this a fun, but epic progressive rock show. Unfortunately, a derivative make-up and drawn out developments hold Haken back from establishing sui generis.
