Miss Grit - Follow the Cyborg
Pop Independent, Miss Grit Debuts an Indie-Electronic Sound, Following the Tragic Story of a Young AI Destined to Love and Lose.
Miss Grit, or Margaret Sohn impersonates a newly awakened cyborg that soon learns of heartbreak and a rather cold existence. Gliding synths, soft drums, and background guitar reinforce large pop choruses and repeated refrains. Follow the Cyborg presents a luring premise and sonic design, but loses sight of it's initial prowess in the latter half of the 35 minute LP.
