The 9th Studio Album from Dream Pop Giants, M83 Makes Another Step into Synth Heavy Indie, Providing Spacey Music for the Imagination
Soaring retro synths, electronic strings and robust piano set a dramatic ambiance that ebb and flow throughout a 66 minute run-time. Spiritous vocals fly over electronic gizmo effects and bright pop progressions, resulting in a whirl of long-form dream-like songs. Where climactic crescendos and a generally potent atmosphere generate pleasant Dream Pop resonations, long winded progressions and flat writing leave much to be desired.
